When you first met her you knew that she had just gotten out of a long term relationship and you didn't want to be the rebound guy.

However, instead of not seeing her anymore you told her that the two of you should take it slow and allow her time to heal together with you.

After a couple or so weeks you think things are going pretty good between the two of you all things considered and she has started to hint that it might be time to take things to that next and more sexual level.

That's when things turn south and a couple of days later she calls you up or maybe even sends a text or email saying that something is missing between the two of you and its not fair to you to continue the relationship.

Now, you are wondering what happened and where did you go wrong, because even though the two of you were taking it slow, the attraction level was clearly high and it took all the strength you had not to escalate the sexual aspects of your relationships.

In a nutshell, you are and/or were the "Rebound Guy" only instead of having sex with her you gave her something much more valuable you let her release all of her emotional hang-ups about her ex-man onto you.

She dumped you because she was under the impression that she had grown much stronger emotionally and could now confront her ex-man when the truth is she didn't get stronger she only gave you her emotional load.

When she met up with her ex-boyfriend being so much lighter it was much easier for her to accept him back into her life if that is what he wanted as well.

If he didn't want her back she is now in search of some sexual healing and she will get it from someone other than you because you are carrying around all of that emotional baggage that she threw on you and she doesn't want it.

Hopefully, you can learn from this experience that if a woman is in need of a rebound guy your only options are being a rebound guy or staying out of her life entirely until she gets over that need to be with a rebound guy.

Simply being in her life and waiting it out until she is ready for her next real relationship is not an option; at least not now.
